How We Handle Your Information.

This page explains what B/deshi ("we") collects on bdeshi.org and how we use it. In short: we collect only what we need to run the network, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to change or delete it.

What We Collect

• Newsletter Sign-Ups: your email address, and your city if you give it.
• Membership Applications (by invitation only): your name, contact details, location, professional background and LinkedIn profile, who referred you, and your answers on the form.
• Members: the details above, kept up to date, plus the chapter and groups you belong to.
• Basic Technical Data: your IP address is used briefly to prevent spam and abuse. We don't use advertising trackers.

How We Use It

• To review applications and run the members' community, chapters and events.
• To send the newsletter and updates you signed up for. Every email lets you unsubscribe.
• To show aggregate statistics about the network (for example, members by city or industry). We never publish individual members' details without their permission.

Who We Share It With

We don't sell or rent your information. We use a small number of service providers to run B/deshi: Airtable (our member database), our web host, and our email and messaging tools, including WhatsApp for members who choose to join the community there. They process data only to provide their service to us.

Your Choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to leave the newsletter or the network, at any time. Write to hello@bdeshi.org and we'll take care of it.
