The Role

A Network, and the Platform Behind It.

B/deshi has grown on trust and word of mouth across 20+ cities, and now runs on its own platform. This role brings it all together: the people, the technology and the direction.

The Platform

Shape how members find, meet and help each other, and use modern tools, including AI, to run a lean, effective organization.

The Community

Protect the standard that makes membership meaningful, and the culture that makes people glad they joined.

The Chapters

Support the volunteer leaders who run our cities, and help new ones get started.

The Direction

Decide what B/deshi builds next, make the case for it, and see it through.

The Big Questions

What Should We Build Next?

How the diaspora shows up for Bangladesh in a crisis. How talent and capital find their way home. What membership should mean as we grow. And the ideas we haven't had yet. We'd love your answer.

Compensation

Pay That Grows With the Org.

Competitive for a senior role in Dhaka, with pay that grows as B/deshi grows and a clear path to Executive Director. B/deshi is self-sustaining, so we're looking for someone who's excited to help build the support that funds this work. We'll walk through the details with shortlisted candidates.

Who We're Looking For

You'll Thrive Here If…

  • You've built and run things: several years of operating experience, in a startup, a platform, a nonprofit or a team you started.
  • You're comfortable with technology and use it, AI included, to get real work done.
  • You think broadly about people, product, funding and mission at the same time.
  • You can bring in support: partners, sponsors or funders, and you enjoy it.
  • You write and lead well, including people who volunteer their time.
  • You know Dhaka and the diaspora, and why they're the same story and also aren't.
How to Apply

No Cover Letter. Just a Memo.

  1. Your CV or LinkedIn.
  2. A one-page memo: What is the single most valuable thing B/deshi could build in the next 24 months, and what would it take to get there? We read this before your CV.
  3. Something you've built: a product, workflow, automation, dashboard or community. A link and two sentences.
  4. One line on how you'd approach funding the role.

We review on a rolling basis and reply to everyone. Questions? hello@bdeshi.org
